Ruyi Xiangshan Laptop Software Adaptation Progresses Steadily, Successfully Running Multiple Linux Distributions and Domestic Office Suites

At the recently concluded 4th RISC-V Summit China 2024, the Ruyi Xiangshan laptop, developed under the leadership of the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was officially unveiled. This laptop is the world’s first to use the Xiangshan open-source RISC-V high-performance processor core (IP). Upon its release, it immediately garnered widespread attention from developers both domestically and internationally. Developers from open-source operating system communities such as Debian, Fedora, and openEuler have already established collaborations with the PLCT Lab at the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to participate in the system adaptation and optimization of the Xiangshan series laptops.
